Natures Best: A Supplement Manufacturer That Lives Up to Its Name

This entry was posted on Friday, November 9th, 2007 at 2:54 pm and is filed under Prescription Drugs, Supplements, Low Carb, Protein, Bodybuilding, Products, Nature's Best, Health and Nutrition Articles

For more than 20 years, Nature’s Best has produced high-quality sports nutrition supplements and has offered consumers real value for their money. The company’s efforts in regard to quality control (including its products’ ingredients, formulas, and packaging) have been the key to its success.

Company History
When it began operating in 1984, Nature’s Best distributed its products through health clubs and gyms. Today, the wide range of supplements in its product line—powdered drink mixes, capsules, tablets, vitamin packets, and sports drinks—are much more readily available.

Nature’s Best’s first major product breakthrough came in 1987 in the form of Carbo Power, a high-carbohydrate beverage many athletes rely on for quick energy. By 1993, a study conducted by a nationwide nutrition-products retailer found Nature’s Best the “second most-recognized nutrition brand in America.”

Five years later, Nature’s Best introduced Isopure, the first after-workout/meal replacement supplement to contain 50 grams of pure ion-exchange whey isolate. Athletes can enjoy their nutrients in a refreshing, clean-tasting form, without such impurities as lactose and fat. Because it contains no lactose, those who are lactose-intolerant can rest assured they’ll experience less gastric disturbance and minimal bloating when using it. Low Carb or Zero Carb versions are also available.

The Company Today
One of the company’s registered trademarks, Perfect, sets the standard for a variety of nutritional products (tablets, beverages, bars, and powdered drink mixes) that are based on egg whites—what the company calls Perfect protein.

Quality Control and Supplement Safety

In light of the recent food-safety scares originating in China, it’s worth noting that none of the protein found in supplements produced by Nature’s Best or its affiliates is imported from China. All its products are manufactured in the United States in accordance with strict quality control regulations and guidelines.

Nature’s Best is a member of the Natural Products Association (formerly NFFA). This organization is “the leading voice of the natural products industry,” with a mission of advocating for consumers’ right to have access to products that will improve and maintain their health, and for the right of suppliers and retailers to sell those products to the public.
