Man Up and Compare These Testosterone Boosters

This entry was posted on Thursday, November 8th, 2007 at 11:28 am and is filed under Bodybuilding, Health Concerns, Reproductive and Sexual Health, Supplements, Testosterone Boosters, MHP, Products, Nutrex, BSN, Advanced Muscle Science, Health and Nutrition Articles

When looking for a testosterone-boosting supplement, how can you decide which to choose? Here we’ll compare some key details about several of them.

Cost
One of the most notable differences among testosterone boosters is the price. Some are much cheaper than others, and if cost is a factor for you, this can be very
important information. Be sure, though, not only to compare the price per bottle, but also the number of pills in each bottle as well as how many pills you’ll need to take per day. Nutrex’s Vitrix, Biotest’s Tribex, and Xyience’s Xtest Xtreme Testosterone Formula are among the cheapest prohormone supplements available.

How They Work
Many testosterone boosters, such as BSN’s Axis-HT, work in levels, giving you different benefits at different stages. Other types of supplements will work to not only boost testosterone, but also limit the body’s production of estrogen and increase your sex drive. The difference in testosterone levels achieved can vary greatly between products as well. For example, Vitrix claims to achieve up to 240 percent higher levels of testosterone, while MHP says its T-Bomb II offers increases of up to 400 percent.

Negative Effects
Some types of prohormones have been known to increase hair loss, because more testosterone is converted to DHT in the body. You may want to choose a testosterone-boosting supplement that avoids this effect, such as MHP’s T-Bomb II or Advanced Muscle Science’s 4-AD.

Hop on the Cycle
Another factor to consider is the cycle recommended for the product. For Tribex, Biotest suggests a weekly cycle of five days on, two days off. Most other testosterone boosters’ cycles are arranged in terms of weeks on and weeks off. With some supplements, you can stay on for several months at a time before cycling off. Among these is BSN’s Axis-HT, which you can stay on for as long as three months before cycling off for a month. Most other products fall somewhere in the middle, with a suggested cycle of two to four weeks of use followed by a week or two off.

Comparing the different types of testosterone supplements can help you find one that will work best for you. This can help you achieve your size goals with the first supplement you try, and you’ll often end up with better and cheaper results without sacrificing your health.
