Keep Blood Sugar in Check with Cinnergen

This entry was posted on Sunday, February 10th, 2008 at 2:49 pm and is filed under Diabetes, Cinnergen, Health and Nutrition Articles

Sugar: It is perhaps the most overlooked and dangerous component of Westernized diets. It has been linked to a myriad of diseases, including diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and stroke. However, Americans seem oblivious to these risks. The average U.S. adult consumes 1 pound of refined sugar in as little as a week. Sugar is everywhere and, in prepared foods, is perhaps the hardest ingredient to avoid. Controlling sugar intake is no easy task. It’s a delicate balance between proportion and self-discipline.

Regulating sugar intake is critical for controlling blood-sugar levels. Many adults fail to realize that when we control our blood sugar, we ultimately minimize the stress placed on our internal organs. Eat too much sugar, and your body works twice as hard as it needs to. Each food you eat is eventually broken down into sugar, or glucose—your body’s primary energy source. This glucose will circulate through your body until your pancreas releases insulin to shuttle it into your body’s many cells.

Insulin Resistance
Problems arise when your blood-sugar levels are constantly elevated. Your cells can, in fact, become resistant to insulin, and you may not be able to get the energy you need from the food you consume. This is known as insulin resistance. If the condition isn’t corrected by diet, exercise, or some external factor (such as dietary supplements), the pancreas will eventually quit releasing insulin altogether. Your cells can become starved for energy. If elevated blood sugar is left untreated for significant periods of time, damage to the eyes, nerves, blood vessels, and kidneys can result, and so can diabetes.

Sugar Junkies
Though America has the most abundant food supply, the country’s dietary standards are on a downward spiral, and diabetes is on the rise due to our ever-increasing dependence on sugar. Year after year, millions of adults are diagnosed with this disease at an earlier age. In the late 80s, the mean age for diagnosis was 52; now it’s in the mid-40s. This trend will surely continue, since two-thirds of the adult population is now considered overweight or obese. What’s more, the progression from elevated blood-sugar levels to diabetes is gradual. Most sufferers don’t realize they have an underlying condition. It’s a frightening prospect: Millions of individuals are on a path to diabetes and don’t even know it.

Arm Yourself
Whether you currently suffer from diabetes or just want to prevent its onset, there are powerful tools (other than diet and exercise) you can utilize in the battle for blood-sugar control. One of the most successful products to do so is NutraLab Cinnergen—a doctor-recommended nutritional aid that may work to keep blood-sugar levels in check. Cinnergen contains natural, clinically evaluated ingredients that have been shown to minimize the simple sugar impact on the entire body system, while alleviating the many ill effects associated with elevated blood sugar.

Cinnergen works by influencing your body in several different ways. First, it helps the body metabolize consumed sugars (glucose metabolism). Many of Cinnergen’s whole-food ingredients have been clinically proven to minimize the sudden, harmful spike of blood sugar. Second, it helps insulin work more effectively. Finally, with the inclusion of enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, Cinnergen may relieve the mental and physical fatigue caused by the overconsumption of sugars, while repairing the key nutritional deficiencies that are causing you to feel ill.

Cinnergen may prove useful for those needing to control their blood-sugar levels, including current diabetics, pre-diabetics, hypoglycemics, and hyperglycemics, as well as the estimated 25 percent of the population suffering from insulin resistance. Cinnergen provides a safe, natural alternative that can be taken long-term to help manage glucose metabolism.
