Get Protein, Not Carbs, with Zero Carb Isopure

This entry was posted on Sunday, October 21st, 2007 at 1:26 pm and is filed under Low Carb, Protein, Nature's Best, Products, Health and Nutrition Articles

Bodybuilders, weight lifters, fitness competitors, and serious athletes know the importance of getting enough protein. Even amateurs who hope to build a little muscle can benefit from some additional protein in their diet. But who has the time—or desire—to eat a steak with every meal? Fortunately, products such as Nature’s Best Zero Carb Isopure make it easy to get all the protein you need.

The Basics
Each serving of Zero Carb Isopure protein powder contains a whopping 50 grams of 100 percent ion exchange whey protein isolate. Its quick absorption makes it the ideal protein powder for post-workout meals. Use the flavored powder to create a protein shake or smoothie, or down a bottle of the ready-to-drink formula.

As the name implies, Zero Carb Isopure products contain no carbohydrates or sugar. They’re sweetened with sucralose rather than aspartame, so those who are sensitive to aspartame can use them, too. And even though they’re made with whey, they’re also lactose-free.

Additional Nutrients
Because Zero Carb Isopure contains nutrients other than protein, it makes a nice supplement to your daily diet. It contains a fair amount of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, calcium, folate, vitamin B-12, iodine, and zinc. Although you wouldn’t want to use it as a replacement for a multivitamin, it does help ensure you’re getting the nutrients you need each day. As a bonus, the product is also enriched with glutamine.

In addition, the premixed drink version of Zero Carb Isopure also contains sodium and potassium—two additives that are often found in sports drinks. This makes it an ideal beverage after a hard workout when your body needs to replace the electrolytes you sweat away.

A Matter of Taste
Many protein powders and drinks taste chalky or unpleasant, but that’s not the case with Zero Carb Isopure protein powder. It comes in a variety of flavors—including Vanilla, Strawberry, Mango Peach, and Apple Melon—so you can make a shake that will excite your taste buds.

The Zero Carb Isopure drinks are available in fruity flavors like those offered by standard sports beverages. Refreshing post-workout choices include Pineapple Orange Banana, Blue Raspberry, Mango Peach, and Passion Fruit.

Mix It Up
For best results, use a blender or shaker to thoroughly mix Zero Carb Isopure powder with water. This will help you avoid clumps and ensure that your resulting shake is thick and creamy.
