Fight Back with Sambucol

This entry was posted on Sunday, February 10th, 2008 at 4:03 pm and is filed under Nature's Way, Health and Nutrition Articles

Dealing with a cold or the flu is physically and emotionally draining. The coughing, sneezing, aches, and pains can make sleep impossible. You might feel unable to accomplish even the simplest tasks. You might think all you can do is just wish it would be over soon. Well, there may be a way to do more than just wish for an end to cold and flu misery. There’s a natural remedy that gets great results when used to end cold and flu symptoms and strengthen the body’s immune system: Sambucol.

Nature’s Way Sambucol is a pleasant-tasting formula that gets its incredible flu-fighting abilities from its main ingredient: black elderberry extract. Black elderberry is a shrub that is native to Europe, Africa, and Asia. It was introduced to North America and now grows throughout the continent. Black elderberry has been used as a folk remedy for many years and was thought to be especially effective in treating respiratory ailments. But now, modern scientific studies have shown that the black elderberry extract featured in Sambucol really does have amazing curative powers.

Got the Flu? Get Better Faster
How can Sambucol help you fight the flu? According to an article on WebMD.com, two studies demonstrate the product’s effectiveness. In one of the studies, an amazing 93 percent of patients had no flu symptoms at all within two days of beginning to take Sambucol.

The second study, which was accepted for publication in the Journal of International Medical Research, found that flu sufferers who took Sambucol recovered in less than half the time it took other patients who were not treated with Sambucol. The study participants who took Sambucol were also able to get relief from their symptoms without resorting to sleep-inducing medicines. The physician who presented the study concluded that the elderberry extract found in Sambucol helped reduce the aches and pains associated with the flu and stimulated the patients’ natural immune system.

Vanquish Viruses
To understand how Sambucol is effective in combating viral infections, it’s important to understand how a virus works. Dr. Madeleine Mumcuoglu, who developed Sambucol, says the product is effective because it physically alters the shape of the virus cell. Virus cells are covered with spikes, which they use to penetrate and invade healthy cells. That’s how viral infections spread.

Sambucol actually blunts the spikes on the viral cells, making them unable to pierce healthy cells and therefore unable to spread. When that happens, the body’s immune system can begin healing.

Healing Nature’s Way with Sambucol
Are you ready to prevent or get rid of your cold? Fight off the flu? Improve your immune system? If so, consider giving Sambucol a try. Studies show it can cut your healing time in half if you’re suffering from the flu. It can also stimulate your immune system, improve circulation, and provide anti-inflammatory relief to help you overcome other conditions, including urinary and rheumatic complaints and problems with edema. Sambucol comes in lozenges as well as syrup, including a sugar-free formula. Cold and flu season is coming, so now is the time to protect yourself the natural way.
