Be Sure About Proper Nutrition with Muscle Milk

This entry was posted on Sunday, February 10th, 2008 at 4:15 pm and is filed under CytoSport, Muscle Milk, Products, Health and Nutrition Articles

Whether you’re engaged in an exercise program or not, proper nutrition is essential for your health and well-being. Many studies indicate that proper nutrition plays a role in longevity, as well as in mental health and acuity. Because research is demonstrating just how important it is to take in at least the standard minimum requirement daily, many people are making lifestyle changes and taking particular care with their diet. However, those efforts may not be enough, as the true nutritional content of foods can vary. Supplementing your diet with Muscle Milk can help you to be sure.

Inconsistent Nutritional Content
The true nutritional content of plant foods depends on a variety of factors, including the quality of the seed, the specifics of a particular type or strain, the health of the plant, and the quality of the soil in which it is grown. If the soil is of poor quality, its minerals and other nutrients depleted, then the plants grown in it will not have a reliable or sufficient amount of those missing nutrients. And, if the plants don’t have them, neither will we when we eat those plants.

Industrial farming has taken a lot out of the world’s soil. To be fair, smaller farmers who do not have the area necessary to rotate crops and allow fields rest time also contribute to soil depletion. This is not a new problem. Researchers and scientists have been aware of this situation since the 1930s.

Tired Soil
“Many [s]tates show a marked reduction in the productive capacity of the soil in many districts, amounting to a 25 to 50 percent reduction in the last 50 years. Some areas show a tenfold variation in calcium. Some show a sixtyfold variation in phosphorus. Authorities see soil depletion, barren livestock, increased human death rate due to heart disease, deformities, arthritis, [and] increased dental caries, all due to lack of essential minerals in plant food,” wrote Rex Beach, in a 1936 article for Cosmopolitan. This article made its way to Congress, and was ordered to be printed by the United States Government Printing Office that same year.

The fact of the matter is that we can no longer be fully sure of the nutritional content of our food. That doesn’t mean that a good diet is not necessary or worth the time and effort, but what it does mean is that choosing to enhance the diet with a quality nutritional supplement, like Muscle Milk, is a good idea.

Attain Balance
Muscle Milk contains the right amount of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients to complement your diet. It’s important to supplement carefully, since with many nutrients, taking too much can do almost as much harm as consuming too little. Muscle Milk offers the correct proportion of nutrients you need to help support your body and your mind, whether the day ahead is a routine one or you’re planning a workout.

While a healthy diet is essential to your overall well-being, today you simply can’t be sure that it is enough. Supplementing your daily diet with Muscle Milk can help you to be sure. A safe and reliable sports-nutrition supplement, Muscle Milk is designed to provide the body with what it needs to perform its best.
