The art of turning an every day bath into a spa experience goes back to ancient times. For the Greeks and Romans, bathing was not just for cleansing but for social and personal relaxation. Today, we have a plethora of spas that offer the calming down time that our busy schedule requires. However, the beauty products available today can turn your own bath into just as rich of an experience.
You must first send your spa and kids out of the house or away from the bath area. Make sure you have at least 1 hour of uninterrupted time. Turn the phone off and make sure the cell phone isn't anywhere nearby that you can even hear it. There are many beauty products on the market that are made with essentials oils designed to calm and soothe the nerves. Find one that is made with natural and/or organic therapies and read the label to make sure there is nothing contained that you might have an allergy to.
If you want to include aromatherapy, make sure the beauty products include: lavender, eucalyptus, rosemary, peppermint, clary sage or ylang ylang. If you are interested in having this as a skin therapy buy any of the bath products that offer natural skin softeners and conditioners. It is a medically recognized fact that our body absorbs significant amounts - about 70% - of what we put on our skin and this will include the essential bath beauty products.
