Vision Nutrition Rx also contains lutein which is a nutrient that is highly concentrated in the macula of the retina. Lutein plays several important roles in our vision, lutein helps prevent macula degeneration as well as protecting the retina from the U.V. rays (Blue Light) that is the primary cause of photic damage to the eyes. Vision Nutrition Rx also contains the herbs Bilberry and Yucca which have been shown to improve vision. During World War II, the British gave Bilberry juice to the American bomber pilots to improve night vision during bombing missions over Germany. The antioxidants vitamin A, C, D, and E have also been included in our formula along with the minerals selenium and zinc.

Active Ingredients:

Vitamin A (Fish Liver Oil): Vision Nutrition contains Vitamin A from Fish Liver Oil as opposed to Beta Carotine. Diabetics cannot convert Beta Carotine to Vitamin 'A' once metabolized.

Contains No N-Acetyl Cysteine: Vision Nutrition contains no N-Acetyl Cysteine. This nutrient should be avoided by diabetics because N-Acetyl-Cysteine blocks the formation of insulin.
