You ever hear of the saying, "You wanna play, you gotta pay?" Well, the human body loves to live by this little quote much of the time, especially when it comes to the world of bodybuilding supplementation and pharmacology. In our quest to become "incredible hulks" and walking anatomy charts, we push the limits when it comes to the training methods we employ, the tonnage of nutrients we consume, and the pills, powders, and potions we "pop." Case in point...many bodybuilders have utilized either prohormones or steroids, or both, to turbo-charge their body’s muscle-building machinery. At first, everything is sheer bliss, as the body willingly accepts this tidal wave of testosterone or testosterone-like substances, giving you the benefit of the doubt that this will not last long, and that soon hormonal homeostasis will once again rule in the internal endocrinological environment! Sounds reasonable enough...but when was the last time you met a reasonable hardcore bodybuilder?

No hypertrophy-hysterical iron freak is only taking prohormones or steroids for a week or two! Hell no! To put on serious amounts of lean tissue you have to stay "on" for 4, 6, 10, even 12 weeks... or more! And guess what my iron addicted friends? Therein lies the problem...After a period of time, the body catches on to your little "game" and kicks into it’s, "You wanna play, you gotta pay," mode. Remember I mentioned that for every action you take upon your body, there will be a reaction? Well, like an ex-girlfriend, your body does remember all the things you ever did even if you don’t want to!
